The accompanying Unit Pricing List is a first stab at comparing area grocery
prices. It was compiled be me and captured and computed using dBASE III +.
The raw data used included the shelf price and the size of the item in pounds,
ounces, etc. Sale prices were ignored as much as possible.

The list has items with prices at one store and not at another. It is by no
means a complete or even a statistically meaningful sample. It does, however,
represent most of the items that my family uses on a regular basis. As it
becomes more complete, it will serve as a guide to reduce the family grocery
bill.

If you would like to contribute to this effort, upload RECENT and ACCURATE
data (with the date acquired) to the Programmer's Corner bulletin board and I
will update and disseminate updated lists in the future. Or you can mail the
information to:

Include: store name, date, shelf price, quantity

Cash register receipts are acceptable if all the above data is present.
