Your telephone sales people will get your customer's regular sales and shipping
information and in addition, will ask the customer for his/her name as it
appears on the check, the check number that your customer wants to use, the
ammount of purchase or payment, and the numbers that appear across the bottom
of the check.
Those numbers contain the bank routing codes, customer's bank account number
and check number. Telephone Check Payment Systems supplies you with forms for
your staff to use for this purpose...which you can fax to our national
headquarters ~b~R~I~F24 hours per day~N or which can be phoned in between 9AM and 10PM
New York time on any business day!

~KAs soon as national headquarters receives your information via fax or by phone,
they will immediatly prepare a bank check against the customer's bank account.
The check will be printed on check paper using the special magnetic ink that
banks require, as well as the unique Magnetic Character Recognition typeface
that is used on checks and meets the standards as established by the banking
industry. These checks can be shipped overnight express to you so that you can
deposit them into your bank account within 24 hours. They are almost identical
to the checks received from your customers in the mail. You can withhold ship-
ment for bank clearance just as you normally do with checks received in the
mail; you can phone your customer's bank to see if funds are currently avail-
able to cover the check if that is your normal procedure; or we can set you
up with a check guarantee service that can guarantee your customer's checks
before they are deposited...so that you can make immediate shipment without
fear of loss.~k

Very nice! Thank you for this wonderful archive. I wonder why I found it only now. Long live the BBS file archives!
This is so awesome! 😀 I’d be cool if you could download an entire archive of this at once, though.
But one thing that puzzles me is the “mtswslnkmcjklsdlsbdmMICROSOFT” string. There is an article about it here. It is definitely worth a read: http://www.os2museum.com/wp/mtswslnk/
