Installation is simple! First, check your archive to make sure
that the only files it contains are ED.EXE and ED.DOC. If you
found more, or less, then your archive has been modified.

If it looks okay from there, copy ED.EXE to the location where
you desire to use it. Now you must set the environment variable
EASYDIR. This tells EASYDEX where to create and locate data
files. By default, EASYDEX will always attempt to find its data
files in the current directory. So to avoid having your data
files scattered all over the hard drive, I highly recommend the
environment variable method. I use SET EASYDIR=C:\EASYDEX in my
AUTOEXEC.BAT file, but any legal DOS directory name should work.

Registering EASYDEX not only entitles you to keep using it, but
you are also granted the use of all new releases free of charge.
