The attached worksheet has been prepared with Quattro, but has been saved
as a Lotus compatible file using Quattro's technique of saving with the Lotus
extension, in this case: COMM_WKS.WKS..
I hope it will work for those who have the original Lotus 1-2-3 version 1A..

There are dramatic differences in the way each commission house prepares its
formulae for calculating commissions, even among the so-called discount
brokers. May you have happy times saving yourself commission moneys which
can better be put to use toward your retirement funds. Notice how some houses
base charges mainly on share price, some on number of shares, some mainly on
dollar value of the transaction, but all with minimums, and complicating
factors (calculated to confuse!)..
