Program: BIBL
Desc: personal/office library management system.
Release: 8.61a
BIBL (rhymes with nibble) is a full-featured package for managing
your personal/office library. Features include: multiple databases;
mouse support; Win 3.1 clipboard support; ASCII import/export;
note field w/ word-wrap; create bibliographies; full-text/keyword/boolean
searching; 15+ reports; link files (& images) to records & more.
Register via CIS, (GO SWREG). ID# 505. From GMUtant Software.
Installation?
BIBL comes with an installation program--that can run from a floppy
or any directory on your hard disk. Type install to activate the
installation program and then specify where BIBLSW.INS can be found
and where you'd like to install BIBL. The install program merely
unpacks the installation file (BIBLSW.INS), creates the directory
where you want BIBL installed, copies the files there, then logs
onto that directory when installation is complete. INSTALL.EXE
will check to see that you have a FILES= statement in your
CONFIG.SYS file. If not, you'll receive a message. The program
makes no changes to any other files on your system (e.g.,
CONFIG.SYS, AUTOEXEC.BAT, etc.).
Type BIBL to activate the program when installation finishes.
Using an earlier version of BIBL (pre 8.x)?
Release 8.0 introduces a new database structure. If you have
an older version of BIBL, you must first create a BIX file
using your older version of BIBL.EXE. Then run the new version
of BIBL and create an empty database...then import your BIX
file into the newly created database.
To print the documentation, turn on your printer and enter
the following command at a DOS prompt:
C:\>Type BIBL.DOC > PRN {return}
The documentation will print--with page breaks in the right places...
