GENERAL FUNCTION: Delete files with verification
WHY IS IT NEEDED? DOS delete function does not ask for verification.
Verification allows you to selectively delete also, when names are
FORMAT: VDL [drive:][path][filespec]
EXAMPLES: VDL E:\TEST\JUNK*.?? [Gives you the option to delete
files on drive E, in subdirectory
TEST, beginning with "JUNK", having
an extension with two characters]
HOW TO USE IT: To selectively delete files matching a file specification,
including drive, directory, and name. The matching file with directory
is displayed with name, size, date, and time, following by a "?". Press Y
or y to delete, Esc to end program, anything else not to delete but to
OTHER EFFECTS: None.
SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: Works with DOS 2.X only.
COMMENTS: Other delete with confirm programs work with DOS 1.1 and 2.X,
but do not support subdirectories.
