SHAREWARE LICENSE AGREEMENT



The Menu (tm) is NOT "Freeware" and it is NOT "Public
Domain". The Menu (tm) is a copyrighted software product
developed and owned by Feltch's Software Development Systems.
Feltch's Software Development Systems grants you the right to
reproduce, distribute and use copies of the "SHAREWARE"
version of The Menu (tm) under the follow conditions.

Conditions: You may use the software for evaluation. Also
you may distribute copies to other persons, for evaluation.
You must distribute the "SHAREWARE" version with all the
contents unaltered. The Menu (tm), "SHAREWARE" version, is
not to be SOLD or otherwise be provided as a part of a larger
system, without the prior written permission of Feltch's
Software Development Systems.

Registered users benefit from technical support, update
notification, and new product notification.

THIS PRODUCT IS LICENSED "AS IS", FELTCH'S SOFTWARE
DEVELOPMENT SYSTEMS MAKES NO WARRANTY, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.
FELTCH'S SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT SYSTEMS DOES NOT WARRANT THAT
PROGRAM WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS OR THAT THE OPERATION OF

I n s t a l l a t i o n





To install The Menu (tm) place The Menu (tm) files in a
directory of your choice. The file TMENU203.ZIP is a packed
version of the following files,

TM.EXE - This is The Menu (tm) itself.
SI.DBF - This database file holds system information.
PL.DBF - This database file holds the program log.
MP.DBF - This database file holds current information.
TM.DBF - This database file holds the menus and selections.
TM.DOC - This is the documentation your reading.

The DBF files are encrypted for security. You are advised
not to modify these files.

To run The Menu (tm) type from the prompt TM this will
put you into The Menu (tm) setup screen. This allows you to
setup The Menu (tm) and assign master passwords. After you
complete the setup The Menu (tm) will create a BATCH file
called TMENU.BAT this will then run The Menu (tm).

Below are some examples for your CONFIG.SYS and your
AUTOEXEC.BAT files.



CONFIG.SYS, (Files equal to 10 is required.)

The Menu (tm) was designed to make running a computer as
easy as possible. Feltch's Software Development Systems set
out to make a menu system that was powerful and user friendly.
In developing this menu system there where several goals we
set. The first was to develop a menu system that freed the
computers memory for the applications. The second was to
layout the screens so that several menus could be seen at
once. The third was to build in several security levels.
The forth was to make it enjoyable and fun to use.

As most good software companies do, we also like to hear
from you the user. If you have any suggestions or ideas please

F 1 - M e n u

Available Menus,

These are the available menus that you have created with
the F2-Editor. You may have up to 100 menus. Each Menu
may have up to 10 selections (programs to run). These
selections are also created with the F2-Editor. The up,
down, right, left, pgup, and pgdn are used to highlight
the menus and their selections. Pressing enter will
select the highlighted area.

(SHAREWARE version limits you to 5 Menus and 5 selections.)


F 2 - E d i t o r

Add, Edit, and Delete,

The editor is used to create menus and their selections.
Just place the highlighted bar over the menu or selection
you wish to edit and press F2 for the editor. Select the
appropriate function and press enter. The functions include
adding before and adding after the current highlighted area,
or you may edit or delete this area. Caution if you delete
a menu all it's selections will also be deleted.



F 3 - U t i l i t i e s

System Information,

This displays some basic information about your computer
system.


Change Screen Colors,

You may chose between 6 screen colors.


Toggle Date/Time,

This turns the display date, and time on or off. Some
older monitors have problems when displaying this.

Screen Blank Timer,

You may control the amount of inactive time before your
screen will blank.



Display Program Log,

This displays a list of the last 100 programs that were
run by the menu. You may scroll up and down throughout
this list.

Help Screens,

This displays a on-line description of the function keys.

Exit to Dos,

This will exit The Menu (tm) and return to the disk operating
system.

Registered version of The Menu (tm) will enable all of The
Menu (tm) functions. The SHAREWARE screens at the beginning
will not show on registered versions.
