SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS:
IBM compatible PC running DOS 2.0 - 3.3 (not tested with 4.x)
COLOR or MONOCHROME monitor.
OVERVIEW:
Menu-Sys 3.5 is exactly that, a MENU SYStem for PC compatibles
with some form of hard drive. Menu-Sys 3.5 (MS35) allows you
to load commands into data files then execute the commands
from the MS35 display screen with a single keystroke.
DOCUMENTATION:
The file MS35.EXE must be kept in a subdirectory named:
[Default Drive]:\MENUSYS
In most cases the DEFAULT DRIVE will be "C".
MS35 determines the current drive when first started then it
checks to see if the \MENUSYS directory exists. If it doesn't
exist it will create it. To avoid creating new \MENUSYS direct-
ories on other drives or new data files, do not start MS35 from
any drive other than the one which contains the directory \MENUSYS.
The data for MS35's menu choices is stored in five data files,
which are always kept in the subdirectory \MENUSYS. Each data
file is created the first time a menu is requested.
To execute MS35 simply type "MS35" from the DOS prompt and press
ENTER , no quote marks or capitals needed. At this point MS35
will create the file "MSM1.DAT" if it does not already exist
or load the default menu choices if it does exist. It is
reccommended that you add the directory \MENUSYS to your PATH
statement and make the last line in your AUTOEXEC.BAT file read:
MS35
This way your system will BOOT directly into MS35.
The display screen of MS35 shows 26 possible programs listed as
"(a)." through "(z)". Five different menus are possible, (1)
through (5), 130 total choices are available. The use of 10
FUNCTION KEYS are shown in the lower portion of the display.
