INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

An installation program is included with Bristol Computing Professional
Menu System (BCS Menu Program). It automates copying the appropriate
files to the drive and directory you specify. It does not modify your
AUTOEXEC.BAT or CONFIG.SYS files. The program will create the directory
you specify and then copy BCS Menu Program files to that directory. If
the directory already exists, files will be copied to that directory
overwriting existing files of the same name. The installation program
is completely safe; you can abort at any time prior to file copy by
pressing the ESC key. It will not copy files without your knowledge. To
run the installation program type "INSTALL" at the DOS prompt. Answer
the questions on the screen.
The installation program will create a file called ADD2AUTO.BAT. The
contents of this file should be added to the END of AUTOEXEC.BAT to
start BCS Menu Program automatically every time you boot your system.

Thank you for your interest in BCS Menu Program.

  1. Very nice! Thank you for this wonderful archive. I wonder why I found it only now. Long live the BBS file archives!

  2. This is so awesome! 😀 I’d be cool if you could download an entire archive of this at once, though.

  3. But one thing that puzzles me is the “mtswslnkmcjklsdlsbdmMICROSOFT” string. There is an article about it here. It is definitely worth a read: http://www.os2museum.com/wp/mtswslnk/
