AUTO-ADD is a little program I've written and compiled to help in addressing
labels and envelopes for my business. I was encouraged to write this after
recently putting a Panasonic KX-P1124i printer into service. I never had so
many font options before. Anyhow, I found that I often needed to make
changes on both the Panasonic as well as a Tandy Daisy Wheel printer I have
been using. I thought a program like this would help me and it has. Maybe
it will be of help to you.
With one exception, all printer, font, and font size options can either be
set from within the program after starting it with the command AUTO-ADD, or
by adding "toggles" immediately after AUTO-ADD at the command line. Either
way, the Printer Type, Font Style, and Size will be visible to you in the
"Postage Stamp" area of what looks something like a #10 Envelope (screen).
The one exception I referred to was the number of line feeds the program will
cause at the program's exit point. You can choose up to 66 lines. Default
is 0. This feature was incorporated for the purpose of clearing the printer
of any single envelope or label which may have just been printed.
Also, It is important to mention that Double Size Fonts can only be used for
printing Labels.
After putting in the "From" and "To" addresses, you will be given a choice of
printing either an Envelope or a Label. Printing begins immediately by
simply pressing "E" or "L".
You may wish to make a small batch file and include any of the toggles below.
If you enter AUTO-ADD /h or /H or /? at the command line prompt, the
following help screen will present itself to you. You will still have to run
the program again either with or without the option toggles to begin
printing.
