CD-ROM Installation with TMV1SCSI.ADD


For CD version of OS/2 2.1
1. Copy TMV1SCSI.ADD to the OS/2 2.1 Diskette 1.
2. Edit the CONFIG.SYS on Diskette 1 and add the line "Basedev=TMV1SCSI.ADD"
3. Boot the Install Diskette which will then ask for Diskette 1.
4. Diskette 1 then loads the CD-ROM driver and the OS/2 CD is accessed.
5. The remainder of the OS/2 installation is done from the CD.


For Diskette version of OS/2 2.1
1. First do a complete install of OS/2.
2. Copy TMV1SCSI.ADD to the C:\OS2 directory.
3. Edit the CONFIG.SYS and add the line "Basedev=TMV1SCSI.ADD"
4. Shutdown and restart the system.
5. Open the OS/2 System Aphlett and open System Setup and then Selective Install.
6. In Selective Install click on CD-ROM Support and then on OK
7. This will show a list of CD-ROMS supported in OS/2.
8. Pick the appropriate option. ( note: if you have the Fusion Double CD with the NEC 55, choose the
NEC 25, 36,37,72,73,74,82,83,84 option.)
9. Selective Install will than ask for file locations, ensure the path is to the appropriate disk drive and start
with Disk 1, then Disk 3 will be requested follwed by a series of OS/2 diskettes which will install the
necessary files needed to support the CD-ROM drive.
10. Selective Install will request a shutdown after installation is complete.
