1.10: GNU tar 1.10.

makefile AIX
makefile.os2 DMake, OS/2 EMX

tape: Tape control program.

makefile AIX
makefile.mk DMake, OS/2 ZTC / MSC using my own compiler shell
makefile.os2 DMake, OS/2 EMX / MSC

compress: File compression program

make.cmd OS/2 EMX

buffer: pipe buffer program

make.cmd OS/2 ZTC / MSC

libx: Some OS/2 utility functions and library replacements.

I used the IBM C Toolkit to compile the sources.
IMPORTANT: Replace UINT by USHORT in the bit field
definitions of FTIME and FDATE (bsedos.h). GCC and
IBM C interpret bit field alignments differently
(It is a good idea to make this change #ifdef'ed __GNUC__.)

os2-add: Tape device driver based on the ADD interface.

ZTC, -> os2-add/readme

os2-aspi: Tape device driver based on the ASPI interface.

ZTC, -> os2-add/readme

os2-dd: OS/2 device driver support library .

ZTC, -> os2-dd/readme

Note: If EMX (gcc) is used to compile, at least version 0.8e is required.

  1. Very nice! Thank you for this wonderful archive. I wonder why I found it only now. Long live the BBS file archives!

  2. This is so awesome! 😀 I’d be cool if you could download an entire archive of this at once, though.

  3. But one thing that puzzles me is the “mtswslnkmcjklsdlsbdmMICROSOFT” string. There is an article about it here. It is definitely worth a read: http://www.os2museum.com/wp/mtswslnk/
