Stuff.exe intercepts mouse and keystroke packets and sends them to
Echomon (via an OS/2 queue). Echomon decodes the packets and inserts
them into a device monitor (mouse and/or keyboard).

Stuff.exe CAN be run in a window; thus giving you access to the
monochrome session from the PM/WPS desktop. The mouse is only
intercepted when it is over the STUFF window.

STUFF is meant for people who never want to leave the PM desktop, yet
want to run an editor on the monochrome screen.

A pleasant side effect of STUFF is that you can "paste" into the
full-screen program running in the monochrome session.

There is no output in the session running STUFF.EXE.

  1. Very nice! Thank you for this wonderful archive. I wonder why I found it only now. Long live the BBS file archives!

  2. This is so awesome! 😀 I’d be cool if you could download an entire archive of this at once, though.

  3. But one thing that puzzles me is the “mtswslnkmcjklsdlsbdmMICROSOFT” string. There is an article about it here. It is definitely worth a read: http://www.os2museum.com/wp/mtswslnk/
