Config Sys Editor - Beta Version 1 README File
==============================================

This program is a BETA version of a product soon to be finished.
PLEASE let me know about any ideas you may have, or problems.
Encouragement never goes astray. I can be contacted as "Dion Gillard"
on the IBMOS2 BBS (61-2-241-2466) or as 100026,470 on CompuServe.

Its aim is to allow you to edit your config.sys file without the
worry of 'stuffing' it up easily.

In this version, the following statements can be checked :-
AUTOFAIL, BASEDEV, BREAK, BUFFERS, CALL, DEVICE, PROTSHELL,
COUNTRY, DEVICEHIGH, DEVINFO, DISKCACHE,
FILES, KEYS, PRIORITY_DISK_IO,
PROTECTONLY, LIBPATH, Set statements that are directory paths
such as PATH, DPATH, HELP, BOOKSHELF.

In this version, the only statements that can be changed are:-

AUTOFAIL, BASEDEV, BREAK, BUFFERS, KEYS, PRIORITY_DISK_IO,
PROTECTONLY, LIBPATH, Set statements that are directory paths
such as PATH, DPATH, HELP, BOOKSHELF.

The Help button uses the command reference to 'educate' you on what
a certain part of the config.sys file does.

Please note that the help is not yet completed and as such, try not
to hassle me about it too much.

AUTOMATIC BACKUP
----------------
- If you edit your config.sys file using this program, it will
create a backup for you (from config.000 to config.fff) each time you
attempt to overwrite it.

FUTURE WORK
-----------
- Soon all CONFIG.SYS statements will be supported, the Help finished,
and the code 'cleaned'.
- Workplace shell abilities are planned, but I need the Technical Library
to get it going as I can't get any decent sample WPS *apps* from the TOOLKIT.
- Comparing Config.sys files is being considered.
- An undo feature is planned.
- You tell me??!!

Thanks for reading this and I hope the product shows promise.
