Here's some information you might find useful concerning running PACIOLI 2000
bookkeeping on Lantastic.
Pacioli generally runs fine, but has trouble printing when set up according
to directions. When printing to a network printer, tell Pacioli to print to
a file called LPT1.PRN (LPT2.PRN, etc.). Lantastic will intercept this and
send it to your redirected printer. When you print, you will get the message
"THIS FILE ALREADY EXISTS. PRESS OK TO OVERWRITE". Just hit ENTER and it
will send the file.
When sending to a local printer attached to a workstation, it takes a
different approach entirely. I have no idea why this is, but PACIOLI will
lock up when attempting to print unless a spooler is loaded on the
workstation. It doesn't have to be a big spooler; any spooler at all seems
to work just fine. I have tried MSPOOL, DMP, and Superspool (from AST) and
they all work satisfactorily.
