Short Description:
------------------

This program provides an electronic classroom environment on a Novell
network by allowing an instructor to transmit 'live' screens,
including keystrokes and mouse pointer, to an unlimited number of
students on the LAN. Students are allowed to take notes on-line
during a live session. It is also used for other purposes such as
sales presentations, tradeshows, "store-front" displays, etc.

Long Description:
-----------------

NetClass is a demonstration/teaching tool designed for users of Novell
NetWare local area networks. Put simply, it allows a user, or teacher
to transmit the contents of his or her workstation screen to other
users, or students on the same network. Although the terminology
addresses the classroom environment, it is often used for other
purposes as well, such as sales presentations, tradeshows,
"store-front" displays, etc.

Hundreds of students can simultaneously view the demonstrator's
workstation from the comfort of his or her own PC. This prevents a
number of people from having to crowd around a single display trying
to see what's going on. There is no limit on the number of students
in an 'electronic class' other than that imposed by the network.

NetClass offers the following features:

* Supports graphics - CGA, EGA, and VGA modes

* Simple operation

* Works on any network workstation running Novell's IPX

* Provides mouse support

* Uses NetWare style menus

* Fast and easy installation

The NetClass system supports many of the popular graphics modes. This
allows you to display graphs on the teacher PC and the student PCs can
view them (providing the monitor on the student PC is capable of
displaying the graphics that are on the instructor's display).

- NETCLASS, Version 1.00 - DESCRIBE.DOC -

The NetClass system is made up of two different programs -

the NCTEACH (sender) program, and the NCSTUDEN (receiver) program.

NCTEACH
The NCTEACH program is run on the workstation where
the demonstration software is executed. After running
NCTEACH, it then runs in the "background" and sends out the
contents of that PC screen (as well as keystrokes and mouse pointer)
to other users on the network.

NCSTUDEN
The NCSTUDEN program acts as a "window" into the NCTEACH
workstation and displays what is currently on the
demonstrator's screen.

Quite often when viewing a demonstration or a tutorial, it is
convenient to be able to jot down some notes on the subject.
Notes can be loaded into the student notepad, saved to disk, or
printed at a later time. The top half of the screen remains
'live' while notes are being taken on the bottom half of the
screen.
