SPECIFIC NAME - The specific name of a phyical port identifies
one unique port on a particular NACS. This name, which can be up
to fourteen (14) characters in length identifies the particular
service offered by that port or the particular resource (a modem
or directly connected remote computer) attached to it. This name

NACS AVAILABILITY TEST - This test performs a NetWare Bindery
search for the designated NACS.

NACS PERFORMANCE TEST - This test repeatedly queries the specified service name on the specified NACS. The test reports the number of
times the specified NACS service is successfully accessed. The
test determines the NACS' ability to respond to NASI requests.

GENERAL NAME - The general name of a physical port is a generic
name such as MODEMXXX, HOSTXXXX, or CITYXXXX. This name, which
can be up to eight (8) characters in length oftens indicates the
general type of service offered by that port, or general type of
resource (modem or directly connected computer) attached to it.
This name is assigned when the NACS is configured.
