This is a message catching utility from Integrity Software
It works like this:
First, load it...takes about 15k memory resident
(this memory is for things like saving the screen, saving messages, holding
interrupt routines, etc)
If you load it at a nondedicated file server...watch it...when you are in
CONSOLE mode...there is the possibility this program will crash the server,
we made no modifications to run it on a nonded file server since this adds
extra code so 1 extra station will work, the trade off isn't worth it...
Ok...for this DEMO you can ONLY load it at logical station 1, the full
version can be loaded anywhere...
When a message is sent to you station, message catch will capture it...
(don't use CASTON or CASTOFF)
and, every 10 seconds, MCatch will check to see if any new messages have
arrived...if one has, it will first 'chime' at you, then, if you are not in
a graphics mode, will proceed to show you the message, otherwise you will
just be chimed...
Now...if the message comes by while you are away or what not, the message
is stored, in fact, up to 10 messages (if you need room for more, just ask)
may be stored.
To view stored messages, press the hotkey, CTRL-PRTSC (if this key isn't
acceptable...let us know) and, if you have any messages waiting or stored,
they will be displayed...once you view a message, you may delete it or save
it...but, if you have 10 messages stored and a new one comes in, message
number 1 will be overwritten to store the new message.
And...if for some reason messages start appearing the old way (where you
have to hit CTRL-ENTER)...just run MCatch like:
"MCatch *" the * will reset the message capture feature
Well...there you have it...enjoy...oh, if you would like a copy of the
real thing...it is just $20 (covers your whole network, up to 5 file server
license...) and it is available from:
