I. What is JotIt!?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
JotIt! is an electronic replacement for all those "WHILE YOU WERE OUT"
notes that you find in many offices today. JotIt! allows you to use
your network to jot down telephone messages and instantaneously send
them to another user on the network. There are many advantages to using
JotIt! instead of the paper messages.
Unlike paper, JotIt! has only a one-time cost. The
savings will add up quickly and help to reduce paper.
JotIt! messages never get lost.
JotIt! automatically alerts users when new messages
arrive.
JotIt! automatically places a date and time stamp
on each message.
JotIt! also has an important advantage over conventional E-Mail systems.
JotIt! is memory resident. It is available any time at the touch of a
key and it is very small. JotIt! only takes up 8K of RAM and is
considerably less expensive!
II. Distribution
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You may distribute the shareware version of JotIt! freely with the
following constraint: The distributed copy must contain all the
original files which you received unchanged. You may not, under any
circumstances, distribute a registered version of JotIt!
The following files must be included with every shareware copy of JotIt!:
JCONFIG.EXE JotIt! configuration file.
JOTIT.COM JotIt! TSR.
JPRINT.EXE JotIt! print utility.
JUNLOAD.EXE JotIt! memory unload utility.
JPURGE.EXE Utility to delete messages marked as delivered.
ORDER.FRM JotIt! order form.
README.1ST Quick startup guide.
README.DOC The file that you are reading at this moment.
WHATSNEW.DOC Information about the latest release.
FILE_ID.DIZ File identification.
Although the shareware version of JotIt! limits an installation to
five users, it is not disabled or crippled in any manner. It is
a complete, working version of the software.
The shareware version is differentiated from the registered version
of JotIt! by the introductory screen. The shareware version displays
a screenful of information about JotIt! everytime that is is run.

Shareware vendors who wish to distribute JotIt! must obtain written
permission from FGB Systems.
