This program is provided as Shareware. It may be copied and
distributed freely on a non-commercial basis. It must be distributed
only in it's complete, original, and unaltered form. Commercial
distribution must be licensed. Every effort has been made to assure
that this product is free of defects, however it is provided as is
without warranty, either expressed or implied. If you use this
product, I ask that you send me a $25 contribution for registration.
You will receive the latest version of ALPHA MENU. Registered users can
request a special "back door" password which will gain access to all
selections.

Alpha Menu is a menu program designed to allow the user to access
their programs with one or two keystrokes. It also provides password
protection to each selection if desired. Also prevents exit to DOS if
a master password is set. Each of the selections at the ALPHA MENU can
be use to access a sub menu. If no sub menus are defined ALPHA MENU
will provide access to 26 different programs. If all alpha menu
selections are used as sub menus, then the user has 260 programs that
are two keystrokes away.

PLEASE NOTE THE PASSWORD SYSTEM IS DESIGNED ONLY TO PREVENT CAUSAL
OR ACCIDENTAL ACCESS ONLY.

Alpha Menu has online help screen to assist you in using the
program. However an understanding of DOS commands is needed to setup
program calls. If you are not sure on how to install programs on your
computer seek help from a friend.

If you find ALPHA MENU of value, you are encouraged to register your
copy by mailing your registation fee of $25 and become a supporter.

A license is required for use of ALPHA MENU by corporations and
institutions, and for its commercial distribution.

A license agreement form can found in the file license.txt. The license
is for perpetual, non-exclusive use of the current version. If you
have special requirements, such as licensing for an unlimited number of
copies, or customization, please feel free to submit them in writing.

The fee for a license depends on the estimated number of copies of the
program that you will use. The fee applies to one site. For local
area networks, one copy must be licensed for each computer that will be
using the program on the network. To use the discount schedule below,
estimate the total number of copies that you may eventually use.

Regruadless of quanity, only one set of materials will be sent to

Data Masters of Jax makes no warranty of any kind, express or
implied, including without limitation, any warranties of merchant-
ability and/or fitness for a particular purpose. Data Masters of
Jax shall not be liable for any damages, whether direct, indirect,
special or consequential arising from a failure of this program to
operate in the manner desired by the user. Data Masters of Jax
shall not be liable for any damage to data or property which may
be caused directly or indirectly by use of the program.

IN NO EVENT WILL DATA MASTERS OF JAX BE LIABLE TO YOU FOR ANY
DAMAGES, INCLUDING ANY LOST PROFITS, LOST SAVINGS OR OTHER
INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OR
INABILITY TO USE THE PROGRAM, OR FOR ANY CLAIM BY ANY OTHER PARTY.



INSTALLATION

Create a directory on your C drive called ALPHA. Change directory
to the ALPHA sub directory and copy all files from the distrubution diskette.
Place the directory ALPHA on your DOS PATH or place the MENU.BAT in the
root directory or a sub directory in the DOS PATH.

If you create the sub directory ALPHA on a Network OR Local drive other
than the drive C. Then you must edit the MENU.BAT file and replace the drive
letter C with the drive letter where the sub directory ALPHA can be found,
such as F in a Novell network.
