I hope SBStudio will provide you with many hours of fun and
entertainment!
If you haven't registered and you want to do so, please print the

file 'REGISTER' for information and a registration form. The
registered version is able to save modules and samples.



Requirements
------------


To run SBStudio, you will need:
-------------------------------

1 x IBM-compatible 286, 386 or 486.
1 x Standard VGA-card and monitor.
1 x Microsoft compatible mouse
with driver installed.
Not less than 210k of free RAM.


To listen to SBStudio, you will need:
-------------------------------------

1 x SoundBlaster compatible card.
SoundBlaster PRO is 100% supported and
preferred.

OR

1 x Gravis UltraSound card.
SBStudio will sound much better with this card!


If you have both card types installed, SBStudio will use the
UltraSound card. If you by any reason would want to use the
SoundBlaster card instead, use the '-S' switch at startup.



Incompatibilities
-----------------


SBStudio needs at least a 286 to run.

Music pieces for the registered version were composed by
Anders Hamre and Kim Jensen.

Information about the MOD format & ProTracker layout was provided by
Lars Hamre. Thank you, Lars! SBStudio hadn't been the same without
you!

SBStudio was beta-tested by Eirik Saltkjel, who also let me borrow
his SB PRO for a while. Thanks, Eirik!

Thanks to Morten "The Bogeyman" Eriksen of Twilight Zone, who let
me borrow his SB PRO for testing. Keep on coding, Morten!

I also want to thank Bj”rn Lynne, who let me use his module 'Flyte'
with the two first promotional demo versions.

History
-------


I started coding SBStudio early in 1991, when the PC-tracker-fever
began. A few months later, the first demo version was released. I am
sure a few of you remember it, even though it wasn't THAT good...

As I didn't get the response I wanted, I forgot the whole project for
a while.

Early in 1992, I continued working on SBStudio. With help from Lars
Hamre, things started to work.



Versions so far
---------------


V0.99á - Promotional demo version, released October 1992.

V1.02 - First official release, December 1992.

V1.10 - Trident VGA-fix release, January 1993.
- Trident VGA bug fixed.
- Gravis UltraSound card supported.
