To create a sample printout, enter the command
MPPRINT C:
Where C: specifies a work drive with several hundred kilobytes of free space.
The printout demo will require between 180,000 and 1,200,000 bytes of disk
space (depending on the printer you select).
If you have no problems, that's all there is to it! Otherwise, read on.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
This MusicPrinter Plus printout demo disk contains the following files:
- Your menu for a sample printout
MPPRINT.BAT
- Utilities for the menu
GETKEY.COM
DSK.EXE
- Self-extracting compressed printer images
EP9.EXE - Epson or IBM 9-pin
24LARGE.EXE - Epson or IBM 24-pin (large print sample)
24SMALL.EXE - Epson or IBM 24-pin (small print sample)
24SHORT.EXE - Epson or IBM 24-pin (short print sample)
BJ130.EXE - Canon Bubble-Jet BJ130e at 360 dots per inch
LBP.EXE - Canon Laser Beam Printer LBP II or LBP III
HP.EXE - Hewlett-Packard LaserJet or DeskJet
The print images are included as self-extracting compressed data files,
each with an .EXE extension.
By executing one of these .EXE files, an uncompressed print image is created
under the name MPPRT.DAT on the current drive. This image can be sent to the
printer by the DOS command:
COPY MPPRT.DAT PRN /B
PRN is the "standard list device" and is usually connected to LPT1. If
your printer is connected to LPT2 or any other port, you may specify that
instead of PRN in the command shown above.
(The /B option greatly speeds up the printing process.)
