Haunted House Sounds V.2.0
for the CMS Sound Blaster
by Larry Tipton 10/06/91

Haunted House Sounds (HHS) turns your Sound Blaster equipped PC into an
electronic horror sound F/X machine. Just tap any of the programmed keys
and off you go!

What you'll need to get started:

1) IBM compatible PC with a Sound Blaster, Sound Blaster PRO, or
Thunderboard card installed.
2) EGA (minimum) graphics card/monitor
3) 527K free RAM
4) This cool software!!!
5) Hard Disk recommended but not required.

Just copy files to an appropriate sub directory on you hard disk (if you
have one) or simply copy the files to diskette. (Sorry, the files will not
fit on a 5 1/4 DD diskette)

Type HAUNTED. Press enter.

HHS makes every attempt to locate the address of your Sound Blaster.
If for some strange reason you get no sound from the Sound Blaster try typing

HAUNTED XXX Y where XXX is the Port IO Address and Y is the interrupt number.

To exit HHS press ESC.

Keys A through Z, 0 through 9, "[", "]", ";", and "'" produce sounds.
Pressing the space bar toggles the thunder effect.

There are 40 sound effects in all!

F1 - Toggle repeat F/X play mode
F2 - Toggle random F/X play mode
F3 - Toggle SCRIPT F/X play mode
+ - Increase delay between effects by .5 seconds (1 minute maximum)
- - Decrease delay between effects by .5 seconds

Version 2.0 supports script files. Simply edit the file HAUNTED.SCR
to play the sounds in the order that your which here them. Use the '.'
character to wait 1 second. The script must mot contain more than 4096
key entries. Press F3 to play the script file.
