Thank you for trying DPLAYVOC. DPLAYVOC plays Creative Labs Sound Blaster
compatible VOC files on the Disney Sound Source. Now you can listen to VOC
files sampled on the Sound Blaster or Thunder Board on your Disney Sound
Source!

DPLAYVOC works by loading the VOC file into memory, stripping away the VOC
header information and converting data samples to the Disney 7,000 samples
per second rate. Any VOC file with a sample rate 7,000 per second or greater
can be used with excellent results.

To run DPLAYVOC simply type:

DPLAYVOC filename port [rate]

Where:
filename is the VOC file name minus the .VOC extension
port is the parallel port 1, 2, 3, or 4
rate is the playback sample rate 7,000 - 44,100 (7,000 = default)

Example:

DPLAYVOC EATSHORT 1 11000

Will play a VOC file of Bart Simpson saying, "Eat my shorts".

I find that most VOC files are sampled at 11,000, but experiment and have
fun. Play a 11K VOC at 7K for a deep voice, or maybe at 22K for chipmunk
like vocals.

There are many VOC files available on most BBS's these days. I have included
two VOC files with DPLAYVOC.

EATSHORT.VOC at a sample rate of 11k
MAKEMYDY.VOC at a sample rate of 10k

Last but not least, this is not a free program. If you intend to keep this
program past the 1 week trial period you must pay a $10 registration fee.
