Ok, here are the changes from 1.1 to 1.2:
1) The major bug that rebooted on every other system is fixed (yay)...
2) The mixing is now at 22kHz. A note here; If you have a 16mHz 386, the
music may become choppy if you use the tracking feature. This is because
the mixing routines in this thing are VERY old, overhauling them is not
worth the trouble to me as I am in the middle of a major project right
now. Normal play will work fine though...
3) The stupid NUM-LOC message has been replaced with a nice little reminder
from where you just hit a key to go on to the program...
4) Some minor internal changes which mean absolutely nothing to you.
Now from 1.2 to 1.3:
1) Hopefully now it can distinguish an SB from an SBPro.
2) Now it turns off the SBPro output filter for clearer sound.
3) Replaced a stupid color set with a K00ler one...
4) More minor internal changes which mean absolutely nothing to you.
5) Composer 669 is now released as freeware...
Very nice! Thank you for this wonderful archive. I wonder why I found it only now. Long live the BBS file archives!
This is so awesome! 😀 I’d be cool if you could download an entire archive of this at once, though.
But one thing that puzzles me is the “mtswslnkmcjklsdlsbdmMICROSOFT” string. There is an article about it here. It is definitely worth a read: http://www.os2museum.com/wp/mtswslnk/
