Welcome to ShroudIt!
ßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßß

This demonstration program is designed to show how you can use ShroudIt!
to protect your source code. Using a small 'C' program as an
illustration, you will see how it can be obfuscated so that the details
of the program are obscured.

You can review the details of each step in the process as you move through
each option on the menu.

A full description of all the features in ShroudIt! can be found in the
on disk manual - SHROUDIT.DOC, and details of the files in PACKING.LST.

ShroudIt! is designed to be configurable to fit the exact details of
your particular source code and compiler. This is an iterative process
requiring successive tuning. You should start with a small program,
less than 500 lines, with minimal includes (or copybooks), and only do
base level shrouding without compression. This will give you confidence
in the method, and allow you to step up to more complex components
later.

  1. Very nice! Thank you for this wonderful archive. I wonder why I found it only now. Long live the BBS file archives!

  2. This is so awesome! 😀 I’d be cool if you could download an entire archive of this at once, though.

  3. But one thing that puzzles me is the “mtswslnkmcjklsdlsbdmMICROSOFT” string. There is an article about it here. It is definitely worth a read: http://www.os2museum.com/wp/mtswslnk/
