Update History:

5-12-90 PEC v.1.0a : First Release of PEC to the public.

5-18-90 PEC v.1.0b : Fixed a bug that kept the compiler from using the
[Y] compiler option when it called the compiler. Made [Z]
compiler option into [Z] linker option. Made various other
small changes.

7-20-90 PEC v.2.0a : Facelift for everything! Switched from C Spot Run
Library routines to Colin Cook's excellent CWindows Library
routines. PEC has now taken on a very "C-Worthy" look and
has almost full mouse support. Also, I have removed all vestiges
of the Project file and Compiler options and Linker options. The
editor, compiler, linker, file manager, and both external
programs are all called through SYSTEM instead of SPAWN, and thus
can have all their command line arguments saved and run with
them.

  1. Very nice! Thank you for this wonderful archive. I wonder why I found it only now. Long live the BBS file archives!

  2. This is so awesome! 😀 I’d be cool if you could download an entire archive of this at once, though.

  3. But one thing that puzzles me is the “mtswslnkmcjklsdlsbdmMICROSOFT” string. There is an article about it here. It is definitely worth a read: http://www.os2museum.com/wp/mtswslnk/
