Congratulations, you have just unpacked I&C, a resident debugger.
It is both resident, and debugs resident programs.

You should now have the following files in addition to the I&C.EXE
file that you unpacked these from:

README - the file you are reading
I&C.COM - the resident debugger
IOPORT.COM - a resident port input/output routine
MANUAL.I&C - the manual for I&C and IOPORT
CHECKFIL.EXE - a file integrity checker

I&C.COM and IOPORT.COM are copyright 1989 by R.A. Gramann.
CHECKFIL.EXE is copyright 1988 by R.A. Gramann.


Please run CHECKFIL now to insure that you have good copies of the
COM files. With CHECKFIL.EXE, I&C.COM, and IOPORT.COM in your
current default directory, type:

CHECKFIL I&C.COM

You should see:

CHECKFIL copyright 1988 by R.A. Gramann

CHECKFIL parameters for:
FILESUM = 57546, ZCOUNT = 8168, FILELENGTH = 10998

Type:

CHECKFIL IOPORT.COM

You should see:

CHECKFIL copyright 1988 by R.A. Gramann


CHECKFIL parameters for:
FILESUM = 43236, ZCOUNT = 4075, FILELENGTH = 5508

If you don't see these numbers, your files have been corrupted and
you'd better not run them. Contact me at the address below for an
uncorrupted copy. Read the manual while you're waiting. (Reading
that can't damage anything.)

Before you run I&C, remove I&C.EXE, the self-unpacking EXE file,
from your current path to avoid conflicts with I&C.COM.

I&C is marketed as shareware. If you like it, tell your friends.
Give them a copy of I&C.EXE so that they can have the manual as
well as the executing files.
