INTRODUCTION
Print to Worksheet is a program which will take any report
that has been printed to disk and transform it directly into
a spreadsheet file. You can then load this file into just
about any spreadsheet program and resequence the report,
select and total in several different ways or even produce
graphs. Data can come from your PC data base, accounting
programs, a corporate mainframe or any program which will
print data to disk instead of the printer.
OPERATION
The program can be run in two different modes. The first
time a report is to be converted to spreadsheet format, the
program is run interactively. The file is loaded into a
window within the program and field borders are set by moving
the cursor to the first column of the field then pressing the
is selected and the report is written to a spreadsheet file.
As the report file is being processed, an MS/DOS command is
displayed on the bottom of the screen which may be run
directly from the a> or c> prompt to convert the file to a
spreadsheet.
To run the program, enter
a>prn2wks [filename]
filename may be included to indicate the report file to be
processed. If a filename is omitted, the program will prompt
you for it. The program assumes that the file extension is
filename.prn for the report file and automatically writes the
worksheet file as filename.wks or filename.wk1 depending on
the spreadsheet format selected.
After the file is loaded, you may use any of the following
keystrokes or commands to direct the program.
Keystrokes
position. If the cursor is already over a
field border, it will be removed.

screen.
Menu Commands
Load Loads a new report file.
Go Converts the report file to a worksheet.
Conf (Configuration) Change the screen colors
and worksheet format.
Help Lists program commands.

Note: all menu commands can be entered as keystrokes by
pressing the
the same time. Example :
screen.
To run the program in command line mode, use the MS/DOS
command sequence:
a> prn2wks filename /c=
The filename is the report file name (same as above) and the
/c switch indicates the field borders listing the column
numbers where each field begins. Example:
a> prn2wks report.prn /c=10,45,60,75
prn2wks indicates the program to be run. report.prn is the
report file to be converted using fields starting at column
1, column 10, column 45, etc. The spreadsheet produced will
be named report.wks.

Very nice! Thank you for this wonderful archive. I wonder why I found it only now. Long live the BBS file archives!
This is so awesome! 😀 I’d be cool if you could download an entire archive of this at once, though.
But one thing that puzzles me is the “mtswslnkmcjklsdlsbdmMICROSOFT” string. There is an article about it here. It is definitely worth a read: http://www.os2museum.com/wp/mtswslnk/
