BATPOPUP allows a user to add a popup menu to their batch files.
BATPOPUP lets the user specify the canter of, foreground/background colors,
and options of the menu and will return the selected option as an
errorlevel.

- System Requirements -
-------------------

Any MS/IBM DOS system with 64k of memory.

- Installation -
------------

1. Create a directory off the root directory called 'BATCH' (i.e. type
'MD \BATCH' at the DOS prompt followed by the [ENTER] key (see your
DOS manual for more information making directories)).

2. Copy all files contained in this package into the directory '\BATCH'
(see your DOS manual for more information on copying files).

3. Add the directory ':\BATCH' to your path command in your
AUTOEXEC.BAT file (see your DOS manual for more information on the
'PATH' command and the 'AUTOEXEC.BAT' file).

- Running the Demo -
----------------

1. Enter the directory containing the files in this package. (i.e. type
'CD \BATCH' followed by the [ENTER] key at the DOS prompt.)

2. Type the command 'DEMO' followed by the [ENTER] key at the DOS prompt.

To activate BATPOPUP
----------------------

To use BATPOPUP type the following information on an empty line in your
batch file (all command line information must be separated by a space):

BATPOPUP <br /> <Menu selection list (Must have more than 1 but less then 10<br /> selections)><br /> <br /> BATPOPUP - Is the menu program program.<br /> <br /> <Row> - This is the row (0 - 24 (can go larger on other<br /> screens)) where the center of the menu will be.<br /> <br /> <Col> - This is the column (0 - 79 (can go larger on other<br /> screens)) where the center of the menu will be.<br /> <br /> <Foreground color#> - Sets the foreground color of the menu. See color<br /> table below.<br /> <br /> <Background color#> - Sets the background color of the menu. See color<br /> table below.<br /> <br /> <Title> - Puts a title at the top of the menu. Should not<br /> contain spaces (if wanted please see note in <Menu<br /> selections>).<br /> <br /> <Menu selections> - This is a list of the selections you want in your<br /> menu. You may have up to 10 different selections<br /> (but not less than 2). Note: since BATPOPUP uses<br /> spaces to separate its' input you can not use then<br /> in any selections. But if a blank space is desired<br /> then use the character 255 (hex ff).<br /> <br /> Color Table<br /> -------------<br /> <br /> 0 - Black<br /> 1 - Blue<br /> 2 - Green<br /> 3 - Cyan<br /> 4 - Red<br /> 5 - Magenta<br /> 6 - Brown<br /> 7 - light gray<br /> 8 - Dark <br /> 9 - Light blue<br /> 10 - Light green<br /> 11 - Light Cyan<br /> 12 - Light Red<br /> 13 - Light Magenta<br /> 14 - Yellow<br /> 15 - Bright white<br /> <br /> While BATPOPUP is active<br /> --------------------------<br /> <br /> While BATPOPUP is active the following keys are used:<br /> <br /> KEY(s) FUNCTION<br /> -------- ----------<br /> <br /> Up/Down arrow Scrolls though the menu entries.<br /> Enter Selects the present menu choice.<br /> Page up/Home Jumps to top of menu.<br /> Page down/End Jumps to bottom of menu.<br /> Escape Exits menu (without selection).<br /> 0 - 9 Jumps to selection number and waits<br /> for enter key (0 = First, 9 = Last).<br /> F1 - F10 Returns selection number and does NOT<br /> wait for enter key (F1 = First, F10 = Last).<br /> <br /> BATPOPUP return values<br /> ------------------------<br /> <br /> When BATPOP ends it will return the following errorlevels (See your DOS<br /> manual for more information on errorlevels):<br /> <br /> 1 to 10 - The number of the menu selection chosen (1 = First, 9 = Last).<br /> <br /> 0 - If the user has not made a menu choice in 5 min. then BATPOPUP<br /> will exit and return an errorlevel of 0.<br /> <br /> -1 - If the user presses the ESCAPE key an errorlevel of -1 is<br /> returned.<br /> <br /> -2 - An internal error has occurred in BATPOPUP.<br /> <br /> <br /> ------------------------<br /> - Registration Information -<br /> ------------------------<br /> <br /> To registerer this product please fill out the following order form and<br /> send it with a check or money order for $5.00 to ....<br /> <br /> Interfaces, People, and Magic<br /> C/o J.
