The Clone
--------------



Once upon a time there was a very rich man, who had so much money that
he was busy all the time taking care of it. In fact, as time went on, he
became richer and richer. The richer he became, the less time he had to
spend by himself, because he spent more and more time taking care of buisness.
Every day, from dawn until dusk, he was in meetings and on the telephone
all day long. Finally it got so bad that he hired a Genetic Engineer to make
a clone of himself, so the clone could substitute for him in all the meetings.
To his suprise, after a long time the Genetic Engineer succeeded in making
him a clone. He trained the clone to be just like himself, and the clone took
over part of the rich man's business. Now he could play golf and go fishing,
instead of spending all day in meetings.

Things went very well for about a year, until the clone had taken over most
of his business. The clone became so busy that he was even busier than the
rich man had been. But as the overwork took its toll on the clone, he grew
irritable, and began to use profanity in his meetings. He cussed people out.
He told people to go to hell. He even used obscene language.

Business began to drop off, as the clone made more and more people mad at
him. The rich man started to lose money. Things got so bad that at last the
rich man decided to get rid of the clone.

One fine Sunday afternoon, the rich man took his clone for a walk along
the river. They walked across the Mid-Hudson bridge. As they neared the
middle, the rich man saw his chance to get rid of the clone, and pushed him
over the edge. The clone sank into the polluted waters, and died immediately
of sulphur and PCB poisoning. The rich man heaved a sigh of relief.

Unfortunately, a Dutchess County state trooper happened to be crossing the
bridge at that instant, and saw the whole thing. The trooper arrested the
rich man for making an obscene clone fall.
