Ok, here is an F19 pilot editor. Unfortunately all it does right now is
resurrect killed (or retired) pilots. I've figured out all the bytes in the
file, so it's just a matter of programming them in. I've done minimal testing
of it, but it shouldn't cause any problems, there are no known bugs. I suggest
you make your own back-up of the "roster.fil" file just in case before the
first time you run it. You should be in your F19 directory when you run it.

If you are interested in the source (highly-disorganized C), leave me email on
Devil's Courier (301-437-7017, user #95) or send mail to "[email protected]".

  1. Very nice! Thank you for this wonderful archive. I wonder why I found it only now. Long live the BBS file archives!

  2. This is so awesome! 😀 I’d be cool if you could download an entire archive of this at once, though.

  3. But one thing that puzzles me is the “mtswslnkmcjklsdlsbdmMICROSOFT” string. There is an article about it here. It is definitely worth a read: http://www.os2museum.com/wp/mtswslnk/
