======================== Clear ========================

v1.0

copr. Dave Williams, 1990

Clear is a custom font for EGA and VGA video adapters. It is an oversize,

specially shaped font designed to fit within the EGA and VGA's character cell.

To load Clear, just type "clear." The screen will come up in the new font.

Any program that resets the video mode will reset the card to its default

font. Programs that do this are mainly graphics and games. You may run

Clear as many times as necessary - it takes no memory, it just twiddles the

video board.

Clear wasn't designed to be beautiful, just legible. If you don't like the

font, just type MODE 80 and the default font will return. Only the alpha and

numeric characters are enlarged - the low and high ASCII characters remain

the same for compatibility.

Clear was written for use on low-grade monitors. It is also useful for

persons who are visually impaired or who have trouble with reading text on

their monitor due to bifocals or poor ambient lighting.
