SLOT-8 is a simulation of an 8-way pay slot machine. An EGA or VGA
graphics adapter is required to play the game. There are only three
keys used to play the game:

SPACE BAR - Increments the bet counter by one
ENTER - Pulls the handle on the slot machine
ESC - Quits the game
ALT-S - Toggles sound on or off

You are given a bankroll of $100 to start with. If you loose it all,
then the game is over and you will probably be insulted. A Top Ten all
time scoreboard is maintained. You will only see it if your score is good
enough to get there. If the scores get too high for your liking then
delete the file called SLOT.SCR and the scoreboard will start over.SLOT-8
is a SHAREWARE program. You are welcome to copy and distribute it freely.
If you use SLOT-8 for a period of 30 days or more then register your copy
by sending $10 or more to the following address:

  1. Very nice! Thank you for this wonderful archive. I wonder why I found it only now. Long live the BBS file archives!

  2. This is so awesome! 😀 I’d be cool if you could download an entire archive of this at once, though.

  3. But one thing that puzzles me is the “mtswslnkmcjklsdlsbdmMICROSOFT” string. There is an article about it here. It is definitely worth a read: http://www.os2museum.com/wp/mtswslnk/
