**** INTRODUCTION ****

MR. MILWAUKEE, the electronic bartender is a database program containing a
large selection of recipes for favorite drinks. The program provides the
capability to view the recipes on the screen, search recipes for an
ingredient, find recipes by first letter(s), enter your own recipes in the
database, calculate blood alcohol, and plan parties.

The program is a menu driven program so that it can be quickly learned and
easily used. When using the program simply follow the directions on the
screen and you can obtain the results that you want.

Before using the program you should read this manual completely so that you
understand the basic operation. The requirement of the program is that you
have version DOS 2.1 or higher with ANSI.SYS installed.

desired drive and start by typing BT (return). This will start the program.

........
When the wine in the glass is twirled around the glass and then allowed to
stabilize, a thin film of wine on the glass forms into droplets which slowly
descend the curved walls leaving trails that wine tasters call "legs" of the
wine. Legs are a sign of richness and the maturity of the wine, and fatness
can be judged by whether the legs are numerous and dense or sparse (the more
dense the legs the better the wine). However not all wines can be judged this
way.

When a unit of measure is encountered that is not in the database the

then you will be prompted for the equivalent measurement in milliliters.
(The planner's base measurement is milliliters.) If the ingredient is solid

measure in grams. If an error is made in this area you will have to use the
editor described in the utilities section.

structure of the current database. No further action is required by the user.

The INGREDIENT selection will allow the user to enter the ingredient editing
menu. To use an option just enter the first letter of the option followed by

the cabinets since the ingredients are referenced by an index to the
ingredient database. This function is provided in case you misspell an

making changes to a personal cabinet you should protect it to avoid

logical structure of the current database. If no error are encountered no
further action is required by the user. When an error is detected; the name
and number of the recipe sill be displayed on the bottom line of the screen.
The user should use the FIX option to repair the database.

The WRITE-READ selection will change the current database protection for the
bartender program. No further action is required by the user. When a
personal cabinet is created the cabinet protection is set to Write-Read to
allow the user to enter and modify recipes. When done making changes to a
personal cabinet you should protect it to avoid accidental changes.

  1. Very nice! Thank you for this wonderful archive. I wonder why I found it only now. Long live the BBS file archives!

  2. This is so awesome! 😀 I’d be cool if you could download an entire archive of this at once, though.

  3. But one thing that puzzles me is the “mtswslnkmcjklsdlsbdmMICROSOFT” string. There is an article about it here. It is definitely worth a read: http://www.os2museum.com/wp/mtswslnk/
