"The Links" offered a different challenge to me. I was looking to do
a course that I've played and one that put emphasis on putting more than
driving. Some of the other things I considered was a course my wife could
play (and one she has played in real life) and a course that offered enough
par threes for our semi-annual pin shot competition at work.
The course itself was formerly known as "Homelinks" and after a major
revision changed it's name to "The Links". Homesites and a retirement community
were located at the site, offering the residents recreational opportunities
right outside their doors. I guess this course would be known as an excecutive
length course, offering only one par five (the first hole). Putting on this
course is a true challenge.
