Hello Harpooner:

Efforts are now underway to organize a Harpoon Users Group.

The emphisis of such an undertaking is to provide Harpoon players the
opportunity to share ideas, hints, and scenarios. This could be in the form of
bulletin boards, information services such as Compuserve, and through the
publication of a newsletter.

A users group could be a means of Harpoon players to organize at a local-level
to facilitate scenario design contests, "staff playing" a scenario, or any other
activities that can be thought of.

Three-Sixty is aware of this effort and we are discussing with them how they
can support the group. The more people we have that are interested in making
this happen, the more support we will get from Three-Sixty.
A users group would be and ideal means of focusing our combined
interests and ideas to make Harpoon even better by providing Three-Sixty
with feedback. In turn, Three-Sixty could pass on information about new
releases, program bugs, upgrades and other Harpoon-related information.

If you would like to be involved in a users group, and/or have ideas for
activities and functions, please contact me.

Good Hunting,

Carl C. Norman

  1. Very nice! Thank you for this wonderful archive. I wonder why I found it only now. Long live the BBS file archives!

  2. This is so awesome! 😀 I’d be cool if you could download an entire archive of this at once, though.

  3. But one thing that puzzles me is the “mtswslnkmcjklsdlsbdmMICROSOFT” string. There is an article about it here. It is definitely worth a read: http://www.os2museum.com/wp/mtswslnk/
