COMMENTS:

The scenery file included covers the area around Fredericksburg,
Virginia, area. The additional scenery areas cover the Washington D.C. and
Southeast Virginia areas. These files are the culmanation of hours of work.
I had intended to release the files when I was satisfied with them, but I kept
finding that there was just a little more space left, or an interesting airport
that I had missed. So, instead of keeping people waiting, I am releasing all
files in the public domain. However, I am constantly updating and adding to
the scenery files, and I will upload further updates in the future.
The scenery file works best if you use Scenery Disk #7 with it. The
Fredericksburg scenery "overlays" the scenery on the disk. If you don't have
Scenery Disk #7, Fredericksburg will be the same, but you won't get
Washington, D.C. or the Blue Ridge mountains. Also, because FS4 places
"fields" in areas that the default scenery does not cover, you will need
to change the colors of the grass runways at Shannon and Hartwood or you
won't be able to see them.
As for dynamic scenery, you can find a Cessna "shooting the pattern"
at Shannon, a sailboat in the Potomac near Fredericksburg, 767's coming and
going at Dulles in Washington, and F-14's coming and going at Oceania NAS in
Norfolk.
Work still needs to be done. The Charlottesville, Accomack, and
Tangier Island airports need to be moved to other scenery files. You may fly
a long cross country to these airports only to find nothing there. In that
case, you will need to manually load the scenery files they are associated
with.
Because many of the SD-7 objects were placed "by hand", they don't
always "fit" with the dynamic scenery objects. Instrument pilots will find that
many VOR stations are a couple of miles off, and in some cases runways have
been slightly misplaced. (Notably Manassas and Patrick Henry.)
In any case, I hope you enjoy the fruits of my labor, and indeed
become inspired to make your own scenery files!

SCENERY FILE INDEX:

1. IDENT - The three character code used by the FAA to indentify all public use
airports in the world.

2. DETAIL - This tells you how much detail was used to depict the airport.

R - Runways
T - Taxiways
B - Buildings or hangars
D - Dynamic Scenery

3. FUEL - Airports which offer 100LL and JET A fuel will have fuel boxes.
Shannon Airport "cheats" in this respect because it only sells 100LL.
I included the fuel box since it is my home base. Purists may feel
free to remove it.

4. NAVAIDS - If I have added a new ILS approach to the airport, the runway
number will be in front of the slash, followed by the localizer
frequency.
