The first number in the file (the only number on a line by itself) is
which background is associated with this rack. If you like most of the
backgrounds but only 1 or 2 bother you, you can remove these from all racks.
Simply change this number to a desirable background. The backgrounds are as
follows:
0: Green Background
1: Red Background
2: Blue Background
3: Grey Backgound
4: Black Background (No Background)
5: Background

The rest of the file lays out the screen:
-1: Edge of the playing field. Do not edit these or add in new ones.
0: No block. The ball moves freely here.
7: Silver Block requires 2 hits to destroy
6: Gold block. Indestructable.
5: Magenta Block.
4: Red Block
3: Cyan Block
2: Green Block
1: Blue Block

Other numerical values are valid but will give unpredictable results.

  1. Very nice! Thank you for this wonderful archive. I wonder why I found it only now. Long live the BBS file archives!

  2. This is so awesome! 😀 I’d be cool if you could download an entire archive of this at once, though.

  3. But one thing that puzzles me is the “mtswslnkmcjklsdlsbdmMICROSOFT” string. There is an article about it here. It is definitely worth a read: http://www.os2museum.com/wp/mtswslnk/
