Introduction

Thank you for trying SimoneSystems "ELECTRONIC AGGRAVATION" version 1.2.
Now! This classic board game comes to life in this computerized adaptation.
Challenge a friend, or play against one or several computer players! Two
to six players (either human or computer) race to beat their opponents from
their base to their home safe positions on the board.

ELECTRONIC AGGRAVATION provides the following features:
an easy to use mouse interface
VGA high resolution (640 X 480 X 16) graphics
online help with complete game instructions
setting game animation, sound, and mouse sensitivity
save settings (*)
. save game and restore game (*)
continue game
(*) Registered version only.

Requirements

ELECTRONIC AGGRAVATION runs on an IBM PC or compatible (XT, AT, 286, 386,
486, etc.) running DOS 2.0 or higher, with VGA high resolution graphics
(640 x 480 x 16), and requires a mouse.


Instructions

The following files are distributed with ELECTRONIC AGGRAVATION:
1. AGGR.DOC instructions (this file).
2. AGGR.REG registration form.
3. AGGR.EXE the executable program. (ShareWare version).
4. AGGR.FNT character fonts.
5. AGGR.SH1 graphics images.
6. AGGR.SH2 graphics images.
7. AGGR.SH3 graphics images.

Make sure the above files are in the current directory before starting.
You start the game by typing AGGR. Complete game instructions are available
from within the game by pressing the Help button, or by pressing F1.


Revisions


Version 1.2
I made it possible to drag the Exit Game panel anywhere on the screen with
the right mouse button.
Re-wrote the Help routine to optimize the code, reducing the size of the
program by about 12k.

Version 1.1
Added the Continue Game feature. When a player wins the game, if there are
two or more remaining players, they can continue to play to see who comes in
second, third, etc.

Version 1.0
Initial release.


Registration

ELECTRONIC AGGRAVATION is distributed as Shareware. This allows you to try
it before you buy it, but if you continue to use the game after the trial
period of 21 days, you are expected to register. When you register you will
receive the latest version of ELECTRONIC AGGRAVATION on diskette, and receive
discounts on all new versions of ELECTRONIC AGGRAVATION. The registered
version allows you to save the game settings, and enables the save and
restore game features. You also receive technical support for ELECTRONIC
AGGRAVATION via U.S. Mail at the address listed below.

To print the registration form, select the PRINT REGISTRATION FORM option
from the final exit game screen, or copy the file AGGR.REG to your printer
(COPY AGGR.REG PRN).

Select one of the following:
New order registration $15.00,
or Upgrade from prior version $5.00.
(Remember to include your registration number.)

Acknowledgements

ELECTRONIC AGGRAVATION was written on a 386 with Paradise VGA in Microsoft
QuickBasic 4.5 and was enhanced with special customized character fonts
with the GFONTS package from Milestone Programming, Arcata, CA.
