Devil 505 LIVES! Fly Jake "Cool Hand" Grafton and Virgil "Tiger" Coles
A-6 from VA-196 as in the movie "Flight of the Intruder".
This zip file contains the two needed files to get the A-6 up and running
with the flight simulator. The A-6 proved to be a challange to build
as the funny shape took several trys to get close to the true aircraft shape.
I think I came pretty close. Unfortunetly, I ran into to 182 part barrier
before I could put on all the decals and the bomb load. However, the thing
looks and flys like a heavy naval bomber. It looks great in some views but
a little chopy in others. Some of the bleed through will have to be lived
with. These are limitations of AAF. Spot plane view at 200 ft or greater is best.
You will find that this aircraft is no speed demon, but is rock steady in
the 250 to 480 kts range. Take off and landing is quite conventional. Stall
speed is around 120kts at carrier approach configuration, full flaps, hook down.
This model encorporates slats that extend at speeds below 190 kts. Because
this aircraft is so heavy, use spoilers and give yourself ample time to slow
down to approach or you will find yourself having to go around. Have fun.
Please, any suggestions are welcomed. I have encluded the folowing files
necessary for this aircraft:

README DOC - this file

A-6NMP__ - The A-6 files to be put into the FS directory
A-6NMP__ SIM

Note: AAF is not needed to fly this sim.
Any response would be welcomed. Reminder: A-6 is not multi player capable.
I did not upload the .afx file, but I will be happy to do so
if so requested.
ciao and enjoy.
