DATA PLOT will plot up to 18 data points on the screen with or without
labels and grid lines. You can enter the datasets from the keyboard or from
a file and plot multiple datasets on the same graph.

MAIN SCREEN

Select your choice of actions from the bar menu. Just enter the high-
lighted character.

(D)atasets - Pulls down the dataset menu.

Enter X dataset - Enter the x-axis (independent) variable values from the
keyboard.
Enter Y dataset - Enter the y-axis (dependent) variable values from the
keyboard.
Load Paired dataset - Load x- and y-axis datasets from external file.
SaVe dataset - Saves current datasets to external file. Number of
elements must be the same for both sets.
Create X sequence - Creates sequential x-axis dataset. Saves you time
since independent variables often are sequential.
Swap datasets - Swaps the values between the two datasets. Number of
elements must be the same for both sets.

(A)xis info - Pulls down the axis info menu.

This menu displays the minimum and maximum values of the current datasets
as well as the number of grid divisions for each axis. To change any of these
values, just enter the line number and then the new value. This will not
change the actual values in the datasets. It only changes the minimum and
maximum values that will be displayed on the axes.

Autoscale axis - Will automatically scale the axes for datasets entered
from the keyboard. You MUST do this before you can plot the data.
Datasets loaded from external files are automatically scaled when
they are loaded.

(P)lot info - Pulls down the plot info menu.

This menu displays the first and last indexes to be plotted from the
datasets. You can change them if you want only a portion of the datasets to
be plotted. Enter the highlighted character and then the new index number.

Also displayed are the characteristics of the plot itself:

Color - Any of the standard 16 colors. Of course black (0) will not
show up. Change the value the same way as above.
Line Style - Choice of SOLID, DOTTED, DASHED, or NONE. Choice is
toggled by just pressing S (or ENTER if the line is
highlighted). Selecting NONE will cause only the data points
to be plotted without any connecting lines.
Marker type - Choice of X, +, BOX, or NONE. Chooses type of symbol
for marking the data points. Toggled with M (or ENTER). If
NONE is selected, data points will not be marked.

NOTE: If you select NONE for both Line Style and Marker type,
nothing will be plotted!

(R)edraw plot - Clears the plot area and draws the plot for the current data-
sets with axes and labels.

Draw data (O)nly - Draws the plot for the current datasets WITHOUT clearing
the plot area. Use this for the second and subsequent sets of data if
you are plotting multiple datasets.

(Q)uit - Exits the program. If any change has been made to the current data-
set and you have not saved it, you will be asked if you wish to do so.
