This is a ASCII file with sunspot numbers. The file has the mounthly
means from 1866-1990. Also there is the planetary a index begining
1932 and runing through 1990. The file is in the following format.
7,34.7,23 the first number is the month the second number is the
mounthly mean sunspot number. The third number is the planetary A
index. The numbers are seperated by commas.
There are many uses for this data it is used in the study of the sun
and also there has been shown to be a relationship between acctivity
on the sun and our weather. While we do not know the physical relationship
yet much research is going on in this area.
This file was undertaken in the hope that it will foster more study
of sun weather relationships.
