SCAN MANAGER
The SCAN MANAGER is distributed under the Shareware concept, which

SCAN MANAGER operations :
Scan Manager is designed for ease of use. There is On-line help
available at anytime from within the program itself. Just press the
"F1" key. The help system is context sensitive, and will display
information for the current operation, and what the program will be
expecting for user responses. This help system should be able to
answer most of you usage questions. There is also a print facility
available by pressing the "F10" key. This print facility is similar
to the help facility in that it is context sensitive. The printing
facility will generate the printouts from the same constraints that
the information is displayed on the screen. The "F2" key activates
the User Call Codes sub-system. The User Call Codes Sub-system is
sensitive to the Licensee and Type of Service Highlighted by the
selector bar, when the sub-system is called.

Update History :
12/09/89 Release 1.00 - The Initial Release of the Scan Manager
System.
12/25/89 Release 1.15 - This Release of Scan Manager added some
functionality to the screens and the print-outs. Also added was a
database with more than 3600 frequencies. If you are in an area not
covered by these services ..... merely delete all of the *.DAT and
*.K?? files. The system will create new empty data files for you to
input the information for your area.
01/21/90 Release 2.00 - This Release of Scan Manager included a
complete redesign of the data-structures and rewrite of the code for
Scan Manager. The Scan Manager system is now in third normal form
thereby reducing some of the diskspace requirements. This new data
structure does not allow the use of prior releases data files. Also
I broke the 3600 + frequency data files into a separate zip file for
the users that are not in an area covered by the sample data area.
06/17/90 Release 2.25 - This Release of Scan Manager includes
the Call Codes System. By pressing the F2 key, this sub-system is
activated for the currently highlighted frequency Licensee and Type.
There is also an option from the main menu that allows unrestricted
access to the Call Codes Database for maintenance. Also, the Code
was optimized to increase performance. Conversion routines included
to facilitate data file conversion. If you are using a prior release
PLEASE REFER TO THE FILE CONVERTS, BEFORE MAKING THE CONVERSION OR
RUNNING SCAN MANAGER 2.25.
07/16/90 Release 3.00 - This Release of Scan Manager will now
help you maintain a listing of your equipment and the frequency that
you have in each channel. I maintained the use of the Rel 2.25 data
structure ... YEA !!! If you're already running Release 2.25, then
there's no conversion for this one.
09/30/90 Release 3.10 - This Release of Scan Manager repaired
a bug in the Call Codes Sub-System. Scan Manager's printed reports
now incorporate single-line format reports, inconjunction with all
the previous report formats. The system now has over 30 different
reports available. Release 3.10's Main Menu has been redesigned for
a "cleaner" appearance and as an easier to use user interface.
10/30/90 Release 3.11 - This Release of Scan Manager added the
confirmation for a request to exit screen. I modified the structure
of the program file to utilize single-file-overlay technology. What
this means is, if you are using a floppy disk set-up, then DO NOT
remove the floppy disk while SCAN MANAGER is in operation. Also the
RAM requirements were reduced, speeding up the table operations.
