Introduction:

Usually, tests of knowledge, or trivia games, are not very educational since
you don't learn very much from them. If you know the correct answer, you
will get it right. Otherwise, you guess. If you guessed correctly, then
you may remember the answer if the same question was asked again. But, do
you really understand the reasoning behind the correct answer? Usually not.
You probably just got lucky.

Quizzia is different. Quizzia is an educational game. It was
developed to add some fun to the learning process. It always gives you
more information about the topic you are quizzed on. Whether you get it
right or not, there will be an explanation below to promote learning. You
can play against friends or against a clock. You can choose to get difficult
questions, not so difficult questions, or a mixture. The shareware version
comes with 50 questions about nutrition. The registered version comes with
the entire database of over 400 questions about nutrition. Other topics are
being developed. Write for more information if you are interested in
purchasing them or if you have suggestions for new topics.

Quizzia is Shareware. It is not in the public domain and it is not free.
If you continue to use it after a testing period, please register. Refer to
QORDER.FRM for more information.

Installation:

You can manually install Quizzia by following these simple instructions:

Assuming the floppy drive containing the Quizzia program is in drive A:
and you are installing the program on drive C, we will simply create a
subdirectory for Quizzia and then copy the files to it.

">" represents the prompt.

> cd \
> mkdir quizzia
> copy a:\*.* c:\quizzia

That's all there is to it!

Running quizzia starts the program! F1 is the help key.

How to use Quizzia:

Usage: QUIZZIA [-qmbm]

where -q = quiet (no sounds)
-c = CGA snow elimination
-b = BIOS screen writing
-m = force monochrome text attributes


Quizzia is very easy to use. You will probably not need help. If you do,
press F1 at anytime for context-sensitive help windows, that is, help about
the current screen.

Can't print order form from opening screen? - QORDER.FRM must be in your
current working directory in order to print the form. Quizzia will not
search your path for the file. You can alternatively use PRINT to send the
file to your printer.

You may find it easier to keep Quizzia and all its data files on a floppy
diskette which can be removed from the PC when done. Please be aware that
floppy drives (5.25" and 3.5") have considerably slower access times and
capacity than hard drives. The program will run slower. It should
still be acceptable though.


Future plans -

We would like to hear from our customers about changes, additions, etc. to
Quizzia that you would like to see. Please take the time to fill out the
questionnaire on the order form. Even if you're not ordering, tell us what
you like and dislike about the program. How can we improve it?
