Many of the programs are shareware. This means that the author of the program
listed in the documentation that accompanies the program should receive the
donation or registration fee if you like and use the the program on a regular
basis. Otherise you are free to copy and test the program before registering
it.
They may be freely copied and passed on to others to try and to register if
they
use it regularly.

Many programs are supported by user groups who can provide extensive personal
help, utility programs and give personal demonstrations of the software at
their

Requires: Amiga 500, 1000, 2000 with 1 Meg RAM
Description:Menu-driven; optional lineage-linked or not linked. Links
individuals across databases; up to 50 databases open
simultaneously; global copy to other databases; handles multi-
lingual text or multiple 65,000 given names (Welsh), marriages,
children per person; permits 65,000 per database and 65,000
databases. Searches with qualifiers: less than, equal to, greater
than on any field; look-up tables for search using abbreviated
version of long name ("alias"); User-assigned ID; 9 user-
definable fields of which 4 can be "flags" set as True or False;
external text files permitted; 10 user-assigned hot keys; imports
pictures, maps, or document using IFF standard and lists picuture
file names; soundex calculator. Footnotes for vital statistics; 12

Description:Supports approximately 1500 records on a 360K disk. Prints lists,

Research Data Filer (69K RAM) is stand-alone program, not linked
to Family Records with two file types: data and documents. Data
file provides 10 fixed fields for data entry, sorting, retrieval.
Document file has 2 fixed fields: "Document number" and "Source."
Linkage of common items into lists is by matching identical
elements in fields. Possibly limited to 500 records.

PAFCOM is a communications program. Includes XModem, MacBinary,
text and GEDCOM files.

Convert imports MS-DOS and Apple II six-family data files into the
single data file Mac version uses and exports the Mac file to MS-
DOS and Apple II file formats.

Description:Menu-driven program maintains data records of individuals,
marriages and notes. Each data file has an associated index
file. Individuals are identified both by name and an
identification (ID) number assigned to each record. The majority
of data manipulations are done by ID. Prints pedigree and
ahnentafel charts, descendant lists and individual records in
alpha, numerical order. Supports soundex. Trial version: 128
names. Registered version: 32,000 names and printer configuration
program. Prints to screen, printer or disk. Supports color (CGA)
monitors but displays in monochrome. Last shareware version being
supported. Future versions will be commercial.
