Information for subscribing to GEnie's and CompuServe's on-line service can be
found in many popular computer magazines (PC Magazine, PC World, etc)
Many of the programs are shareware. This means that the author of the program
listed in the documentation that accompanies the program should receive the
donation or registration fee if you like and use the the program on a regular
basis. Otherise you are free to copy and test the program before registering
it.
They may be freely copied and passed on to others to try and to register if
they
use it regularly.
Many programs are supported by user groups who can provide extensive personal
help, utility programs and give personal demonstrations of the software at
their
public meetings. Call the author or vendor for locations of their customers or

individuals across databases; up to 50 databases open

elements in fields. Possibly limited to 500 records.
PAFCOM is a communications program. Includes XModem, MacBinary,
text and GEDCOM files.
Convert imports MS-DOS and Apple II six-family data files into the
single data file Mac version uses and exports the Mac file to MS-
DOS and Apple II file formats.

file. Individuals are identified both by name and an

ahnentafel charts, descendant lists and individual records in
alpha, numerical order. Supports soundex. Trial version: 128
names. Registered version: 32,000 names and printer configuration
program. Prints to screen, printer or disk. Supports color (CGA)
monitors but displays in monochrome. Last shareware version being
