Thank you for your selection of the Deer Expert System!! This
System is meant as a planning tool for obtaining the most
successful hunting method given certain hunting conditions.
This is very important since you want to make the best use of
the limited hunting season and your time as well. The system
is for whitetail deer only and covers the type of hunting found
in Midwestern and Eastern U.S.A. and Eastern Canada. The
hunting methods and conditions can be seen by selecting them
off the initial menu screen, and we will not list them here
because we know you are eager to plan your next hunt using the
Deer Expert System. For a quick start to the process simply
insert the diskette with the modules into drive a: and with the
a> prompt type in: hunt. The system will boot up to a menu and
you can follow the instructions as listed on the screens.
The system is based on recent research on deer behavior and
involves a literature search of recent writings in the area. A
consensus of opinions in these writings was the basis for
determining the data base with possible conditions and best
hunting methods for them. There are hundreds of possibilities
in this data base which is linked into the expert system
automatically. The expert system is a popular technology used
for relaying complex information in an area. Doctors have used
expert systems to diagnose illnesses, and we apply the expert
system concept to deer hunting.
The Deer Expert System covers many more situations than any
video or tape and is more comprehensive and easier to use than
any single book or magazine article. It was developed because
of the sense of frustration stemming from reading various
articles or books and trying to determine which is the optimum
method given the often conflicting advice in different writings
and videos. The Deer Expert covers most situations and is a
consensus of opinion. The System is an excellent training tool
for new hunters and children and can be used as well by the
seasoned veteran. It is a tremendous step forward in deer
hunting technique!
By the way, our deer hunting party in 1987 took six deer out of
the seven tags available including a 10 pointer, 8 pointer, 6
pointer, and spike. We only hunted two days for all this
action.
If you find the model useful, a contribution of $10 is
expected. With each contribution of $15 or more you will be
registered to receive and be notified of the next greatly
enhanced version with the latest Deer hunting techniques and
findings.
We also will custom tailor an expert system for any use and are
doing so now in other recreation and business applications. If
you would like a custom expert system, please feel free to call
us.
Good Hunting !!!!

Very nice! Thank you for this wonderful archive. I wonder why I found it only now. Long live the BBS file archives!
This is so awesome! 😀 I’d be cool if you could download an entire archive of this at once, though.
But one thing that puzzles me is the “mtswslnkmcjklsdlsbdmMICROSOFT” string. There is an article about it here. It is definitely worth a read: http://www.os2museum.com/wp/mtswslnk/
