The purpose of this program is to add together two sets of DATA files.
There will be a MASTER set of files which will get added to,
and a READ FROM set which is the set being added to the MASTER set.
As people are read from the READ FROM set and added to the MASTER set, they
will have new numbers assigned.
IT IS POSSIBLE TO DESTROY YOUR EXISTING FILES IF YOU ACCIDENTLY COPY
OVER THEM WITH THIS PROGRAM. THEREFORE:
BE SURE TO HAVE BACKUP COPIES OF ALL YOUR DATA FILES BEFORE PROCEEDING
Everyone from the READ FROM files will be added, and no links will be made
between the two sets of files.
When this program is finished, use BROTHER'S KEEPER add routine to call up the
names to link (using F8 or the people's numbers). You may also need to use
the modify routine to change the order of children where the link was made.
Type M to merge the files now or anything else to stop.

The purpose of this program is to copy some of the names in your data
files into a new set of data files.
If you want to share part of your data with someone else you may
want to copy only the ancestors or only the descendants of someone
over into the new set.
You may also choose some combination of ancestors and/or
descendants of more than one person.
The new set will have new numbers assigned to everyone and the files will
be smaller because any unused numbers are eliminated.
BE SURE THAT YOU READ FROM ONE DRIVE AND WRITE TO A DIFFERENT DRIVE

  1. Very nice! Thank you for this wonderful archive. I wonder why I found it only now. Long live the BBS file archives!

  2. This is so awesome! 😀 I’d be cool if you could download an entire archive of this at once, though.

  3. But one thing that puzzles me is the “mtswslnkmcjklsdlsbdmMICROSOFT” string. There is an article about it here. It is definitely worth a read: http://www.os2museum.com/wp/mtswslnk/
