- Printer support Utilities -
This BBS offers a Printer software interface, available from
the SYSOP window.
When you need to use the Printer you must select the printer
parallel port number, which it will be used further. To select
a parallel port, type PRN x at the sysop window, where 'x' is
the port number (1,2,3). To send anything to the printer, you
have to add 'PRN' at the end of any cmd. This way anything was
to be printed on the screen, it will redirected to the printer.
To deactivate the printer , type PRN 0 at the sysop window.
If for example, we need to send the last 10 msg headers we have
to type:
LL 10 PRN
To dump a msg text:
R 19672 PRN
To dump a file:
RF ALL\ANY.BTN PRN
and so on.
Echo print of the sysop's window becomes active or inactive by
pressing Shift-PrtScr key, which is toggle.
Printer has its own task, so all other bbs processes will never
stop.
