Gentle User,
HPGL2PRN is an Hewlett Packard Graphics Language (HPGL) translator. It will
read an ASCII file containing HPGL commands and translate this into the
necessary commands to produce a plot on a dot matrix printer or an
HP-LaserJet-II. The ASCII file containing the HPGL commands can be produced by
a number of programs, including TPLOT. If you are using PLOTS to run TPLOT, it
will automatically manage this translation process for you. HPGL2PRN can
produce plots on Star, IBM, and Epson dot matrix printers (and their
compatibles). To run HPGL2PRN use the following commands.
process HPGL commands: HPGL2PRN device file
for double dot density: HPGL2PRN device file double
for negative image use: HPGL2PRN device file negative
for a bolder image use: HPGL2PRN device file bold[1-9]
device must be one of the following: Star, IBM, Epson, or LaserJet
file name can include drive and path
"double", "negative", and "bold" can be combined in any order
"double" applies only to: Star, IBM, and Epson
